Guided Velhovesi–Pyhämaa Tour
Wednesday, 24 June, 6:00–9:00 PM
Join local tourist guides on an excursion through the stunning landscapes of the Velhovesi Route and the fascinating sights of Pyhämaa. During this three-hour guided tour, participants will hear stories about the archipelago and its unique natural environment.
The tour includes stops at the historic Pyhämaa Sacrificial Church and the New Church, where coffee or tea and sandwiches will be served.
The tour departs from the Uusikaupunki Bus Station at 6:00 PM and returns at approximately 9:00 PM.
Price: €25 per person (including refreshments), payable in cash before departure.
Your guides for the evening are Tuula-Riitta Karlin and Pauliina Nurmi, who will bring the stories of the archipelago to life. Guidance will be held in finnish.

Secrets of Uusikaupunki – Children’s Ghost Tour
A brand-new addition to this summer’s programme, the Children’s Ghost Tour is a playful and suitably spooky walking adventure designed for children aged 5–12.
The first tour of the summer takes place on Thursday, 25 June at 4:00 PM.
Along the way, participants will meet friendly ghosts, solve riddles, and get a glimpse into life in times gone by. The tour is designed to be fun and engaging rather than frightening, making it perfect for young explorers.
An accompanying adult is required. At the end of the tour, every child will receive a Bravery Badge as a keepsake from their ghostly adventure. Guidance is in finnish.

Stories Told by Gravestones – Guided Tour of Kalanti Cemetery
Friday, 26 June, 3:00–4:00 PM
Discover the history of Kalanti’s old cemetery on this fascinating one-hour guided tour. Participants will explore the memorials of individuals buried in the cemetery who, in various ways, left their mark on local life and history.
The tour introduces the life stories of pastors, revivalist preachers, manor owners, teachers, doctors, artists, and many other notable figures, spanning a period from the 17th century to the present day.
The tour has been researched and created by tourist guide Päivi Sandell, who will also serve as the guide for the event. Guidance is in finnish.

Courtyards and Wooden Houses Tour
The Uusikaupunki Old Houses Association once again invites visitors to explore the charm of the town’s historic wooden-house district through its popular Courtyards and Wooden Houses Tours. Guidance is in finnish.
Led by a knowledgeable guide, the tour takes participants into the courtyards and gardens of old houses, offering insights into local history, stories behind the buildings, traditional garden plants, and the ways in which historic heritage has been preserved while embracing new elements.
During the tour, guests will enjoy afternoon coffee in a charming garden, surrounded by flowers and a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere.

Paha perii Pablo is a full-blooded farce packed with unexpected twists, narrow escapes, and shameless lies. In Amanda’s bedroom, things are rarely what they seem, and the hunt for an inheritance proves anything but straightforward.
While firmly rooted in the tradition of classic British farce, this is a brand-new play written specifically for the Pyhämaa Summer Theatre. The production is directed by Lauri Ketonen, a master of comedy and farce who has previously delighted audiences at the theatre on numerous occasions. The performance is presented in Finnish.

Blankets and Clothing – Made in Uusikaupunki exhibition
Wahlberg Museum House, Ylinenkatu 11.
The textile industry in Uusikaupunki flourished especially during the 1940s–1960s and employed many women, although the first factory was already founded in 1919. The most significant company, Uudenkaupungin Villatavaratehdas (later Uuvi Ltd.), operated until 1987. In addition, the town had more than ten other textile companies producing fabrics, socks, and clothing. The exhibition presents the history of these companies and gives a voice to the workers of the industry.

The World Can Be A Beautiful Place.
Accessible by boat. You can dock on the west side of Naskalviikki bay. Follow two white boards aligned from the green marker at Rantakari, then continue to the dock in the middle of the bay. From the dock, it is about a 200 m walk to the gallery.

The Bonk Museum presents the strange and humorous world of the fictional industrial empire Bonk Business Inc. The exhibition features unusual Bonk devices, including “non-functional” machines and imaginative inventions from the 19th century to the 1950s. Bonk is a fantasy concept created by artist Alvar Gullichsen, around which a complete fictional corporate history has been built.
