The first two weeks of May are so full of activities that even browsing the program is enough to catch your breath. There are exhibitions, concerts, flower fairs, and delicious Mother’s Day treats on offer. With so many options, there’s surely something for

This traditional campaign encourages residents to choose responsible and affordable ways to get around. More information is available on the City of Uusikaupunki website.

A versatile strength workout with a good cardio boost. Bring your own kettlebell or borrow one from Elleni. Price €12 (€9). Payment methods: cash, cards, sports benefits, series cards, or summer season pass.

Learn the basics of golf and complete the Green Card, required to play golf. An additional course is also available on Thu 14 May from 10 AM to 4 PM. Registration: ugk.fi

Thu 14 May, 3 PM – Ascension Day Forest Church, Kasarminlahti shelter
Group departure at 2 PM from the sports field parking area (Etelälinjakatu 2). Walking distance approx. 2.5 km one way. The event begins with greetings from Vakka-Suomen Latu and a birch sap toast to celebrate spring. Parish Pastor Nina Koskela and Cantor Hanna Pishro will attend. Coffee served afterwards.

Sat 16 May, 9 AM – 5:30 PM – Seal Safari: Uusikaupunki–Sandbäck–Isokari
A unique opportunity to head out to the open sea to observe the Baltic Sea’s largest seals. Along the way, you'll also see cormorant-colonized islands, osprey nesting sites, and beautiful archipelago scenery. Reservations and details via Isokari’s website.

Sun 17 May, 9 AM – 5:30 PM – Isokari Birdwatching Cruise
The route circles Keskikallio guillemot island, with chances to spot guillemots, razorbills, skuas, and many other seabirds. On Isokari Island, the program includes birdwatching, lunch, and an optional lighthouse visit. Reservations and details via Isokari’s website.

  • Pamprinniemi Nature Trail
    Hauintie 259, Pyhämaa. About 4 km long, located on parish land in Ketteli, Pyhämaa.
  • Oinassaari Lean-to Shelter
    Oinassaarentie 166. A pleasant destination for motorists, boaters, and cyclists, located in Korsaari, approx. 18 km from Uusikaupunki city center towards Lepäinen.

The event presents fire brigade activities, fire engines, and rescue equipment. Visitors can try using a fire extinguisher, learn first aid, and get information about firefighting and rescuing people. Free entry, open to all.

A round of the Historic Rally Trophy series, also featuring additional classes outside the main series. Historic rally cars mainly date from 1966–1996 and are prepared according to FIA regulations. At Uusikaupunki Old Houses Association office (Sepänkatu 4), visitors can explore different stages of window restoration with guidance from a renovation advisor.
Restaurointi Onnenpuu hosts an open house day at the Kalanti workshop (Maisterintie 2), featuring live demonstrations of door and window restoration, tips, advice, and materials for sale.

On Saturday, the Moomins appear on stage, Little My sends greetings with a surprise, and Jukka Poika performs.
On Sunday, enjoy the Jokeri Pokeri Box magic show by magician Simo Aalto and Kirsti Aalto, and a performance by one of Finland’s most promising rising pop artists, Ellimei.
The fair offers top products and inspiration for gardens and yards, summer 2026 trends, plants, practical tips, and fun for the whole family with Mini Farm animals.
