Pärkänvuorella

Pärkänvuori hill and caves

The slopes of Pärkänvuori in Lokalahti rise in places nearly 30 metres above the surrounding landscape. The hill has fractured into large boulders, and one particularly large rock, known as the Bride’s Stone, has fallen to the edge of a field and inspired an old folk tale.

Local tradition is also connected to two cave formations in the area, Veskellar and Pimi kellar. Beneath the eastern slope of the hill, there is lush, grove-like vegetation. The steep rock faces are also suitable for rock climbing.

There are no signposts or parking area at the site, but you can leave your car by the roadside during your visit.
The distance from Uusikaupunki to Pärkänvuori is approximately 26 km.
